Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Welcoming new life into the world is an incredible and beautiful experience, one that brings deep joy and profound change. I aim to ensure that your birth is a time of respect, empowerment, and support for you and your growing family. You may be feeling excitement, confusion, exhaustion, worry, or joy (or all of the above) — and that’s perfectly normal. The emotional rollercoaster of becoming a parent can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Too often, we try to manage it all by ourselves, but here’s a secret: none of us has to do it without help. With compassionate care, I will be there to support both you and your partner emotionally and physically as you welcome your baby into the world. I’ll also help you through your recovery and adjustment to life with your little one, offering guidance for every step along the way. Together, we’ll ensure this journey is as smooth and fulfilling as possible. Whether it's managing post-birth healing or adjusting to new parenthood, you can trust that you're not alone during this special time.

As your doula, your prenatal period is the time for me to get to know you and your priorities and preferences, whether that be for your upcoming birth or to support you in your fourth trimester, the first months after your baby’s arrival. There is no right way to bring a baby into this world or to raise him or her, but with my expert suggestions, you will be able to find your confidence and comfort in making all of these important decisions along the way.

Studies have shown that having a doula as a member of the birth team decreases the overall cesarean rate by 53%, the length of labor by 25%, the use of oxytocin by 40%, and requests for an epidural by 60%. (Source)
